Drugstore starter makeup kit!

Hi

I know when I first started getting into makeup I didn’t really know what products I needed, so here is what I would get from the drugstore for a starter kit.

First we’ll start with base, I choose the l’oreal infallible mattifying base (primer) this is my favourite drugstore primer keeps you matte all day and stops makeup from sliding off your face! You get a huge amount of product for what you usually get with primers. It has a light velvety texture and also doesn’t block pores which is a big plus.

I would choose Bourjois healthy mix serum (foundation) I love this foundation I think it looks really natural and blends easily, overall it has a medium coverage and Demi matte finish your skin really looks radiant when you wear it.

Next is concealer is have picked two concealers, first is the Rimmel wake me up concealer I love to use this under my eyes because it brightens up that area, I also use this on areas that have a slight redness. For spots and areas that need high coverage I use collection lasting perfection ultimate wear concealer, this is amazing for covering spots! I use this everyday I would compare it to Mac pro longwear concealer. I don’t use it on my under eyes as I feel it’s too heavy.

Now face powders, (from left to right) first is the Rimmel stay matte I have went through so many of these it works and it super affordable, I like to use the transparent one. Bronzer I would choose revolution vivd baked bronzer, super duper affordable and gives a nice sun kissed glow. Blush I would get sleek’s rose gold it a dupe for NARS organism blush and gives a beautiful illuminated affect on the skin. For highlight I would get the revolution vivd baked highlighter in peach lights I just think the pigment is amazing for the price perfect highlighter I use this one regularly.

Now for brows! Brows are pretty important they frame your face, I would first use Maybelline brow drama to fix my brows in place the go in with the Maybelline brow satin it has a small pencil like end to draw in fine lines and a shadow end to fill in big gaps and make brows look bolder.

For eyeshadow I would choose NYX jumbo pencils they are easy to use and give good colour pay off, black bean is a pure black colour that u can use for eye liner and for smokey eyes, milk is a pure white and you can use this for brow bone highlight and inner corner highlight and also a base. Yogurt is a rose gold colour and sparkle nude is a bronze colour, you could make a great eye look with these colours.

For mascara I would get the Maybelline lash sensational it is one of the best drugstore mascaras there is, it creates amazing definition and volume in your lashes. Lash look fuller and longer.

For lips I would choose a MUA lipstick they are only £1 each and come in so many colours and are surprisingly good for the price, they are pigmented and creamy. (Colour here is bare)

Great selection! I had to look twice at Sleek’s Rose Gold blush which looks very much the same as NARS orgasm. 😁 NARS orgasm is my favourite we all know it’s quite expensive for a small blush ☺️ I’m so gonna get the NYX white eyeliner! Thanks lovely!

Thanks x Sleek rose gold is almost identical to NARS organism blush! 😊
