Highlighting is no doubt one of my favourite steps in my makeup routine. You can get metallic highlighters, natural, holographic and my favourite glossy finish. So, here are my top six highlighters, must try highlighters…
I’ll start with cream and liquid highlighters…

I love highlighters that make your skin look glossy, and my absolute favourite is the Marc Jacobs Glow Stick. Hands down one of the most beautiful highlighters I have tried, with a mixture of gold and silver pigments it is perfect for cool and warm toned skin. It gives a gorgeous radiance that instantly makes your skin look healthy. No glitter visible and it also has a velvety, creamy texture that works well over powder. I like to pop this one even when I’m not wearing makeup because it gives your skin an instant pick-me-up and a very dewy finish. My first ever highlighter was the Benefit Watt’s Up highlighter, a pretty champagne glow that is creamy and turns into powder. Can look natural and be built up to a more obvious finish. I really like using this under powder highlighter to intensify the glow. My newest addition is the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Moonlight. This is a serious blinding highlight, but it can be used under, mixed in and on top of a foundation, used as a highlight or mixed into moisturizer. You hardly need to use any as a little goes a long, long way! If I want a glow that will make people take notice, I grab this one.

Powder highlights are an easy, quick everyday product that can range from a natural finish to intense. Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze and Glow, the highlighter is stunning! an intense champagne shade. The formula is crazy pigmented and creamy, glides over texture and doesn’t make pores really obvious. Urban Decay After Glow highlighter in Sin was so hard to get a hold of at first. Every time I went to get it, it would be sold out. But luckily I did manage to get my hands on it. A beautiful light champagne that has a serious glow, it can be build up to blinding! with a pigmented formula. I really like duo-chrome highlighters, they add a pop of colour to any look, I especially love to wear them if I’m going for a more natural look, just to add a bit more to the look, a little extra something. Mac Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Soft Frost is a wearable icy white with a violet shift. It is very smooth to apply and looks luminous on the skin, and when you are in certain lights you can see the violet shift, perfect to bring out your inner unicorn!
