Favourite Festive Party Makeup

Hi

It’s less than a week till Christmas already! At this time of year there’s always a party going on, which makes this time of year amazing for makeup as you can go crazy with the glitter and the bright red lip, and not feel out of place or like your going OTT. So today I thought I would share some of my favourite party season makeup products that will take you through the glitter filled season.

Let’s start with in my opinion the best part of makeup, highlighter. My new highlighter that you could probably see from space is the Colourpop cheek shock in FLEXITARIAN. I just use my fingers to place it on my checks then a brush to buff it out. If I really want to blind people in the Christmas lights I’ll pop on some powder highlighter on top ( my go-to is Urban Decay SIN). Plenty of glow to last all night. Eye makeup for me at Christmas it’s all about the gold, the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise in JEAN is just a stunning cream eyeshadow that I put on as a base, this really helps give your eyes a gorgeous glow. Then the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette and I take the shades FRESHLY TOASTED which is a rich warm brown, in the crease and the stunning shade PURE GANACHE with is a creamy, pigmented gold. This palette is warm toned and for me perfect for winter and also would be a great gift because of it’s amazing packaging and quality. Now for lips red is the classic shade for Christmas, I have two that are my go-to. First is the Tanya Burr matte lip in the shade CHRISTMAS STOCKING which came in the Tanya Burr Cosmetics advent calendar this year. It’s a gorgeous classic red and because it’s matte it will last throughout the night and not to mention the yummy vanilla smell. If you don’t like the full on bold lips another great option is the Clinique chubby stick baby tint in the shade 02 COMING UP ROSY this will give you a natural deep rosy tint to your lips, won’t be full on but you can see the subtle difference that will go with any look. Last but one of my favourite is nails, I love to have tones of glitter on my nails at Christmas, so the two nail polishes I choose are from the Tanya Burr advent calendar this year. The shades were GLITTERS AND GOLD which is a gold glitter polish and SLEIGH BELLS which is a red glitter. These two polish look great on top of the polish shade of your choice or you can apple multiple coats to get your desired results for super glittering nails.
