February Favourites 2018

We’re into the third month of 2018! Even though February is the shortest month of the year I managed to gather a few of new favourites…

A moisturiser that I have fallen in love with is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

this can be used for moisturising your face or body and I’ve been using it for both. It has a lovely whipped texture that feels really light and melts quickly into the skin, leaving your skin soft and hydrated. I have oily skin and found this didn’t make me any oilier throughout the day and best of all didn’t give me a breakout. It just left my skin smooth and hydrated. The Glossier Haloscope has become an everyday essential when I want dewy, healthy-looking skin. The shade I have is Moonstone (totally planning to order the other shades!) which has tiny specks of glitter, but nothing obvious and still looks like your skin is dewy and not like you’ve put highlighter on. It’s super easy to use I even found myself wearing it on no makeup days. Also from Glossier the Stretch concealer is the best under eye concealer I have found. Usually, by the end of the day, my concealer can look dry around my under eyes and starts to separate around my nose. But with this concealer that doesn’t happen! My under eyes don’t crease and look hydrated all day even when I’ve set it with powder. It instantly brightens dark circles and looks natural, like skin. It covers slight redness but isn’t heavy duty enough to cover blemishes completely, but it is buildable.

Bobbi Brown’s Illuminating Bronzer in Antigua has been my everyday blush this month. Really hard to overdo this blush gives the cheeks a pretty hint of soft pink while adding glow and even definition to my cheekbones. I love cream products for contouring, it makes the contour look more natural and skin-like. When I want warmth and a bit of contouring I have been using the Fenty Beauty matchstix in the shade Almond. It’s a warm beige which adds warmth to my face without being too obvious or too dark for my fair skin. The formula is super creamy and easy to blend seamlessly into the skin, not to mention the packaging looks really cool too. I’m not the best at creating eyeshadow looks, but a blending brush that has made my life so much easier is the Morphe M330. It has a tapered point making it perfect for blending right in the crease and is fluffy enough to blend any eyeshadow out seamlessly, it even makes my blending skills look good!

I’ve seen the First Aid Beauty products around and thought about getting them recently, this moisturiser sounds great so I might have to add that to my try list as I do need a new moisturiser for when my current one runs out. That Bobbi Brown blush is so pretty, I love subtle ones where you don’t have to worry about putting too much on.
