Glossier Play Review

Hi, it’s been a while since I’ve written a post. Well, I’m back, sometimes life just takes over and we get too busy but, I’m super excited for today’s post. Glossier is one of my favourite skincare/beauty brand out there, it has natural makeup that promotes skincare first. When I heard about Glossier Play I was super excited, makeup that adds that little something extra to your makeup looks.

First off, all the packaging is minimal and aesthetically pleasing as ever for Glossier. One product that really interested me was the Glitter Gelée. It’s a glitter paste, with lots of multi-dimensional glitters in a clear gel based. It’s long-lasting and less messy than traditional glitter. This is amazing for adding extra sparkle to any eye look or just sweep it all across your lid for full-on mirror-like shine and impact! it also claims to be; “cruelty-free, vegan, dairy free, gluten free, nut free, hypoallergenic, ophthalmologist tested, dermatologist tested, not safe for lips or lip area”. You also get an applicator with the Gelée or you can buy it on its own as your fingers and a flat brush applies it just as good, it also comes in four shades.

Haloscope is one of my favourite products from Glossier, the Niteshine highlighter had a lot to live up to and it’s fair to say it really has lived up to my expectations.

This liquid highlighter comes in four shades and is creamy, pigmented and has the most amazing shine! This highlighter doesn’t emphasise pores or texture and creates an extreme dewy shine. Apply a few dots with the applicator and blend with your fingers. The formula is very buildable, from natural dewy to a full-on foil effect. It also claims to be ” cruelty free, vegan, dairy free, gluten free, nut free, hypoallergenic, ophthalmologist tested, dermatologist tested, safe for eyes”. The packaging feels high end and the applicator makes it easy to apply highlighter exactly where you want it.

Vinylic Lip is a super glossy lip lacquer that’s non-sticky and comfortable to wear. The formula has a slight tint and they are buildable from one sheer layer to three layers for a bold, full impact colour. It comes with a doe-foot that’s easy to use, just click the bottom of the lacquer to get the product. This also claims to be “”cruelty free, vegan, dairy free, gluten free, nut free, hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested”. It comes in six shades that I can’t wait to try!

Last, but not least is the Colorslide eye pencil…

This eye pencil is amazing! it’s waterproof, smooth to apply and lasts for 12 hrs. I wore this from 7 am to 10 pm and it was still there, like when I first applied it. This pencil is very pigmented and doesn’t crease throughout the day. This also claims to be “cruelty free, safe for eyes, hypoallergenic, ophthalmologist tested, dermatologist tested”. This pencil comes in fourteen shades ranging from metallic copper to an eggshell blue.
