Hi, Happy NewYear! I can’t believe it’s 2019, 2018 went by in a flash. Every time NewYear comes round I always like to set goals and resolutions, on what I want to achieve or do in that year. Here are a few tips on how to set your goals and resolutions for 2019…
Describe your year– choose a word that will describe the year you want, for example, minimalism, adventure or fun. This will be the word that you look back on in a year and you can say for example that the year was fun or I that you have totally have taken up a minimalist approach.
How do you want to feel– set goals on how you want to feel, brainstorm words that describe how you want to feel in 2019 and you will find they probably relate to the same thing, for example, strong, positive, energetic, these words could all mean that you want to feel confident so, you should set goals that will make you feel that way.
Set resolutions and goals based on how you want to feel mentally, physically, financially or career-wise in a years time. You can also set this for in three years time or five. But, the goals and resolutions don’t just have to be the three I mentioned. They should be significant things in your life that you want to look back on with a positive change.
Set your goals!– write goals that support your future and the way you want to feel in the Newyear. Ask yourself what will make my life easier or better? That could be a small and simple thing like eating breakfast every morning. Write down what you want to achieve but also write why you want to achieve them, this will give the goals a sense of purpose and give you a focus. Then write what you’re going to do to achieve this and make a plan.
I like to set these goals to give me something to aim for and a purpose for that year. But, things change, we change throughout the year. You can refine the goals or resolutions throughout the year, still staying on the right track but better for you.
