July favourites 2019

Hi, today I wanted to share my July favourites and some favourites I’ve been loving this summer…

First off, I guess I’ll start with some of my skincare favourites. If you have oily and acne-prone skin like me, you probably know the struggle of finding the right moisturiser. If it’s too oily or rich I will more than likely break out and be super shiny at the end of the day, it’s really hard to find the right balance of moisture without being too rich or even too mattifying. Carbon Theory’s Breakout Control Facial Moisturiser for me, that perfect balance. It makes my skin feel dewy and replenished without being greasy or heavy, it controls oils and helps with blemishes because of the tea tree oil, also, a bonus it’s super cheap at £13!

Another skincare favourite is Sleep Spa overnight eye mask from Alex Steinherr x Primark collection. This is extremely hydrating for your under eyes. I use it before I go to bed and my under eyes look smooth and fresh in the morning, I even use it before makeup and it helps my makeup glide on and blends out beautifully and doesn’t affect the wear. Not to mention it’s also an affordable product.

I have a lot of makeup favourites this month, one is Glossier’s cloud paint in the shade Dusk. It’s not a new favourite but I haven’t used this shade as much as the others before this summer. I really don’t know why because it’s the perfect I’ve just been out in the sun all day shade that looks like you have a little sunburn. I have used it pretty much every day in July, a tiny dot on my cheeks, a little on the bridge of my nose and temples makes the blush look very natural. Wet n Wilds MegaGlow highlighter in the shade Blossom Glow has been my go-to. Not only super affordable but as the name suggests packs a serious metallic glow. I lightly sweep it where I normally put my highlighter for a dewy finish.

Charlotte Tilbury Exagger Eyes palette is one of my must-haves for July and basically every day. The shades are easy to wear, blend like a dream and the pop shade has the most gorgeous sparkle, for that something extra. Mascara I have been loving is the Loreal Unlimited Mascara. The first thing I noticed about the mascara is that it’s very light-weight. It doesn’t clump your lashes together and makes your lashes look like false lashes! I have had lots of compliments on my lashes when I wear it. Recently I have been using Glossier Play Color Slide in the shade Brack. I just draw a thin wing and smudge out with a little eyeshadow, for a soft winged liner look.

Lastly Glossier’s Generation G in the shade Like is my everyday lip for summer. It of course, has the lived-in, blotted lipstick look that I love. It lasts a long time because of the comfortable matte finish. The shade emphasises your natural lip colour and goes with almost every makeup look.

What’s your July must-have?
