I prefer BB creams to foundation for everyday, especially in the summer. I was looking for a BB cream with a high SPF so it could also be used as a sunscreen for my face. I got the Mac Prep+ Prime BB cream SPF 50. This is probably going to be a staple for me in the summer.
First the packaging is sleek and a good size with a 40ml/1.3FL OZ. I got the shade extra light ( because I’m so pale!) hoping that it won’t go orange on me, thankfully it didn’t. If you are looking for a full coverage BB cream this isn’t the one for you as it has very sheer coverage and is more on the side of a tinted mostoriser. It easily blends into the skin and drys witha satin finish. It evens out skin tone and looks extremely natural.
The formula is very liquidy and tends to run out of the bottle when turned up side down with the lid off. Also it has a chemical smell like the Mac foundations but mixed in with sunscreen.
Over all this is a great light weight coverage BB cream, great for the summer and can be used in place of a sunscreen for your face with SPF 50/PA++++. Although it doesn’t cover blemishes but can be slightly build and even out skin tone. If you are looking for a first time BB cream/fondation this would also be amazing to choose, it is slighly on the more expensive side compared to drugstore BB creams at £16 but you do get a great quality product and 40ML/1.3FL OZ.
