I love highlighter and I have been dying to try the Marc Jacob Glow Stick ever since it came out. I love ‘glossy’ looking highlights as I feel they look the most natural and amazing for everyday and even night looks. This highlighter is a bit of a stretch in the high end highlighters. But it’s totally worth it. Here’s what I thought…

The packing is sleek, white plastic and almost looks like a deodorant (an expensive one lol) but I do think the shape is easy to fit into your bag and makeup bag. At the bottom there’s a bit to twist up to get the product.

Also on the bottom there’s the name of the highlighter.

When I first opened it I thought the shape was odd, but it does fit on the cheek bones nicely. I find when I use it straight from the tube it doesn’t smudge my foundation. I prefer to use a brush as I have more control over how much I use and to me it looks even dewier when blended with a brush. The product claims to have a perfect mixture of silver and gold pearls and pigments, so it will fit every complexion and be universal for warm and cool toned skin.

The highlighter is not a pow in your face, super metallic, see your highlight from the moon ( even though I love that kind of highlight) highlighter. Your skin looks more glossy and wet. It still gives you a noticeable glow and is beautiful but it won’t blow your socks off, it looks really youthful. The texture is very creamy and smooth but not sticky. I have used it every single day and I can’t get enough of it. My favourite way to apply it is with a Real Techniques Duo-Fiber contour brush. This is the perfect size for highlighting and because it’s duo-fibre I get more control over how much I apply. This can work for day and night, I put it on my cheek bones, brow bone, cupids bow, bridge of the nose and tiny bit on my chin too. The glow lasts all day and I even think it looks better as the day goes on. The texture is really creamy and goes on top of powder well, but best results I recommend putting it on before powder. It even looks gorgeous when you haven’t got any makeup on. If your looking for a highlighter with a stunning youthful glow and have a higher budget, defiantly give it a try.
