we are already in June! is anyone else excited for summer holidays? Today I’ve rounded up my favourites from the month of May. It honestly feels like a week ago I was writing April favourites! Here are my favourites from this passed month…
I was defiantly into having glowing summer skin in may…
The Urban Decay Flushed palette in NATIVE has been my go-to for bronzing up my skin. The bronzer is warm toned and has a slight shimmer which for the passed month has been perfect for bronzing up my skin with some added glow. The real Techniques cheek brush is what I’ve been loving applying the bronzer with, it’s just the right shape for fitting your cheeks and is also amazing for contouring.
I was and still am, a huge fan of the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. But I’ve been converted to Rimmel’s Clear Complexion/teint Radieux clarifying powder. I have spot prone skin and even though I loved the Stay Matte powder I sometimes got small bumps on my forehead when using it (probably because I packed that much on!). Since using this powder instead I haven’t had a breakout and not to mention it keeps my skin matte for just as long as the Stay Matte powder, and I find it is even more finely grained and looks less powdery on the skin. The YSL Touche Éclat Radiant Touch has been brightening up my under eyes this passed month. If I had a day when I couldn’t be bothered wearing makeup (basically everyday!) but still wanted to look more awake, I applied this under my eyes. It doesn’t conceal but brightens with a nice youthful glow. The Nars Soft Matte Complete concealer is my new favourite concealer, it’s basically bullet proof and hides my blemishes no matter how red they are, I even loved using it on my under eyes because it was so light. A great multi-purpose concealer, perfect to take on holiday.
As you could already tell for a few posts back, I’m a huge fan of Barry M nail polishes. My new shade that I have been wearing non-stop is one of the Molten Metals in GOLD RUSH. This is a gorgeous gold with red/pink duo-chrome. This is metallic and is a great stand out summer polish colour. I have oily skin and sometimes my brows tend to slide and move by the end of the day. Since using the Benefit KA-Brow! they don’t move all day, I sometimes even struggle to get it off. Shade 3 is my perfect match and with the tiny brush it comes with I can create hair like strokes, for natural thick brows.
You can probably tell I have used this palette a lot, the Urban Decay Naked palette is one of my holy grails. The combination if half baked and sidecar has been my everyday look, the shadows are amazingly pigmented and look stunning!
