Maybelline Push-up Falsies Mascara Review

Hi

I picked up the Maybelline Push-up Falsies Mascara on Saturday, as I always see the advert on TV all the time. So of course I had to pick it up. Today I’m going to do a review on this mascara.

The packaging is different from other drugstore mascaras which is nice and draws you in, this mascara is supposed to lift the lashes and make them appear more like false lashes. The bristles are designed “cup-shaped”so they almost grab the lashes and again create a more lifted lash effect.

When I first applied it, it was very buildable and you could get alot of volume and thickness for your lashes. Another great thing I noticed is that it didn’t flake on me during the day and once set it didn’t smudge. Also it is fragrance free which is something I really like to see in eye products so my eyes don’t get irritated. It really does last all day not moving and keeping your lashes lifted. Now for the not so nice bit, the cons. The first thing I noticed was after one or two coats the mascara was very prone to getting clumpy and sticking my lashes together(this is a pain when your in a rush😫). It gave more of a clumping effect rather than a false lash effect and occasionally the lashes got too thick. The last con is the wet formula as it can get messy, also it takes a good five minuets for it to set, meaning I kept smudging it before it dried. One last picky little thing was trying to remove it at night, even though I used micellar water, coconut oil and cleanser I still had panda eyes in the morning.

This mascara over all is a love-hate relationship, I love the lift and the staying power. But it does have problems like the drying time and it being to clumpy sometimes. If you like the clumpy lash look this mascara is right up your street, but if you are looking for a lengthening  mascara that gives you volume at the same time, this isn’t the one for you. Price £7.99 from Boots.

Thanks for the review, I have this on my wish list, and only really because of the packaging. But definitely not fond of wet and clumpy mascara. I think I’ll give this a miss. 🙂 x
