Must-Have Foundations 2017

Hi

Today I wanted to share my favourite foundations of 2017. I can’t believe this year is almost over! So, if you need the perfect base for a Christmas party here are my top picks…

I prefer lightweight foundations to even out my skin tone and let concealer deal with the blemishes and extra coverage that’s needed. My top pick for a healthy looking skin is the Mac Face&Body foundation. A makeup artist cult favourite for good reason. It’s super lightweight and buildable to a  medium coverage. This foundation is dewy and looks incredibly healthy. It also photographs beautifully too, with no flashback. It can be mixed in with moisturizer to make a tinted moisturizer. You could even use it on your legs, to make your skin look even and healthy (it does transfer slightly, so keep that in mind) Another foundation that has more coverage than Mac Face&Body but is still lightweight, is The Ordinary Serum Foundation. This foundation is very liquidy in texture and feels like nothing on the skin. This can also be build to a medium coverage, again your skin will look super glowy and healthy. If you have dry to normal skin you will love this foundation as it feels very hydrating, if you have oily skin you may want to use a primer as it will get oily, that’s really the only downfall. It also photographs well and stays put almost all night. My medium to full coverage foundation pick is the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick. As the name suggests despite the heavier coverage this foundation looks like your skin, not a full face of foundation. It blends seamlessly and can work for all skin types. Even at the end of the night, it stays intact. I even use this foundation as a concealer because it’s so skin like you can add an extra layer to areas that need more coverage, without getting a cakey effect. This looks amazing in pictures too.
