Ever since the dark mornings have been creeping in, I find myself wanting to sleep in more and more everyday. So if your like me and want that extra ten minutes in bed or just want to get up and go, here are a few tips to help your makeup routine go a whole lot quicker.
The first way to make your morning makeup routine faster, is to use BB cream or CC cream. These are usually hydrating for dry skin and you can get BB or CC creams for oily skin too. They look like second skin and help blurr imperfections while giving you some coverage. Also most BB or CC creams have an SPF which should always be in your routine.
Next step to speed up your routine is using a palette, the Urban Decay Flushed palette is my holy grail. If you find a product with a bronzer, blush and highlight this will make it simple and less time spent looking for separate products. I personally like to use a more warm toned bronzer in my quick routine as it gives my skin some warmth and life. Highlight in my opinion should never be missed. Highlight in your inner corner makes you look more awake and highlight in general makes your skin look so much healthier and glowing.
For eyes keep it simple, use a palette that can be used for your eyebrows too. I use the Urban Decay Basics palette shade NAKED2 in my crease and eyebrows. Also use and eyeshadow brush that can be used multiple ways , one that can pack on shadow and also blend. I love the Mac 217 because of its shape and the fact it can blend and pack on shadow too. Another tip is when applying mascara if you get it on your lid, take a pencil brush or your finger and smudge it across the last line. This will create an easy instant smokey eye.
Lips, keep it again simple and also easy to apply without the need of a mirror. Lipglosses with a bit of sparkle can bring a look together and add a little extra. My favourite at the moment is Tanya Burr lip gloss in champagne toast.
