Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Eyeshadow

Hi

I’m back with another Stila Product review, this time I have a Magnificent Metals Foil Eyeshadow (such a long name!) in the shade KITTEN. The Stila shade KITTEN is a cult classic shade, rightly so as it’s so beautiful, shiny and metallic! The shade is a rose gold/ champagne and can turn any eye look into a stunning head turning look.

First off I love the silver chrome finish to the packaging and how you can see the amazing colour through the lid.

In the little box that it comes in you get a small mixing try, liquid eye primer and the shadow itself. The only thing that got me was the size of the liquid primer, it’s so tiny I don’t think this will last the whole eyeshadow. The eyeshadow has a strange consistancy it’s not a pressed shadow or even a loose pigment, it’s more of a gel/cream to the touch but still flaky.

The way to use this product is by (well the way I do it) by putting equal parts eyeshadow to the liquid primer. I would say only one drop of the liquid primer should be enough, but it is kinda hard trying to get the right balance of the two.

To mix it I just take the end of a makeup brush and mix until creamy and fully mixed. The best way to apply this is by using your fingers but let me tell you this can get very messy as it is so glittery. A small shader brush ( the small brush side from the urban decay naked palettes is perfect for this) and almost press the pigment on to your lid is the best way to get the most out of it when using a brush.

This gives the most beautiful wet metallic finish that lasts all day and looks stunning! of course you can use this with no liquid primer but it won’t give you as an intense finish, but an alternative if to use Mac fix+. You can also use this just as a light wash of glitter for a more toned down look. Overall I love this so much! It makes any eye look special, this would be great for parties and weddings (and you know everyday 😉).

Cost: £30.00
