Summer is here and with summer comes out our essential sun survivors (the products that get us through the warmer weather) I have chosen five products that I need when the warmer weather is here. Let’s start with some skincare…
We really should be wearing SPF all year round, but let’s be honest we probably don’t. I never use sunscreen on my face because it tends to break me out, so I love the Clinique Prep-start hydrorush moisturizer SPF 20. This is a light moisturiser that has a good SPF without the heavy feeling some products with SPF have. When I use this my skin always feels fresh and hydrated, also it doesn’t make my skin feel greasy and sinks in quickly. I have oily skin and this doesn’t affect how oily my skin gets throughout the day but doesn’t prevent oil on my skin either, so all skin types can defiantly use this. Hylamide Glow Radiance Booster is my must have for glowing skin. I have very pale skin so I generally don’t like wearing fake tan as I feel it makes me look very orange. This amazing gradual tanner doesn’t, you can apply it twice daily but I like to apply it when I’m just out the shower. I mix a few drops into my body lotion or body butter and massage it in until its fully absorbed. After a couple of days of doing this I have a really natural glow. When it’s warm outside I don’t wear makeup, I find it can feel too heavy in the heat (makeup literally melts off my face!). But I still like to look glowy, to get some help and boost my natural glow I use the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in ROSE. I use this as a blush but it can be used as a highlight, this gives a gorgeous natural flush on my pale skin with that added extra glow. my highlighter of choice right now and possibly my favourite of all time is the Marc Jacobs Glow Stick, this has a beautiful luminous finish which makes your skin glisten. The highlighter and blush combined give you the best summer glow. Finally in the summer time it’s always important to keep your lips moisturised, my go-to is the EOS lip balm in the flavour summer fruits.
