Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter

After spending months and months of trying to get my hands on the Urban Decay Afterglow 8hr highlighter in the shade SIN, I finally got it last month. Here’s what I thought…

First off I love the chrome packaging, really stands out in my highlighter drawer. Feels sleek and expensive and I love the detail of the Urban Decay logo.

The highlighter itself is a light champagne shade with a frost/metallic finish, the finish is really full or can be worn sheer as it is build able. The finish is described as being “finely milled”, “lightweight ” and “blends easily “. I did find the highlighter to be finely milled but did have some shimmer which emphasised pores and texture on your skin. It was light weight and no matter how much I built it up, it still felt light on the skin. It has a warm yellow undertone and this really compares to The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer. The best way to apply it would say is to use a fan brush or go in lightly and then buff it in to your skin, this will give you an all over glow on your cheeks, instead of a full on harsh highlight line. It is also claimed to last eight hours and it definitely does! The highlighter blends like a dream and has a smooth buttery texture.
